Middlesex University Dubai Debate Tourney 2026: World Schools
About This Tournament
An in-person World Schools tournament at Middlesex University Dubai for UAE students in Years 9 to 13, on 28 and 29 November, with cash prizes for the winners.
The Middlesex University Dubai Debate Tourney is a two-day, in-person World Schools tournament for UAE students in Years 9 to 13 and university foundation programmes. It is held on the Middlesex University Dubai campus in Dubai Knowledge Park. Teams of three debate prepared and impromptu motions on topics such as artificial intelligence, criminal justice, international politics, education and media. Day one is the group stage. The best teams go through to knockout rounds and a grand final on day two, and the winners receive cash prizes.
Both days run from 9:00 AM to about 5:30 PM Dubai time (GST, UTC+4) on 28 and 29 November 2026. Only the first 50 teams to register get a place, and the organiser's deadline is 6 November. Our sign-ups close on 4 November, and we register each team as soon as it is full. The first motion comes out a week before the tournament, and our coaching sessions build that case with the team.
What's included if you sign up through us
- 4 hours of team coaching, including the case for the prepared round
- Registration and the AED 250 team fee, handled by us
- Feedback for each student after the tournament
