1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Atlantic Ivy's website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services. These terms apply to all visitors, users, students, and parents/guardians.
2. Services Description
Atlantic Ivy provides debate and public speaking education programs for students aged 5-17 years. Our services include in-person classes in Dubai, online classes, tournament preparation, and related educational activities.
3. Enrollment and Payment
3.1 Enrollment
Enrollment is subject to availability and age eligibility. By enrolling a student, the parent/guardian confirms they have the authority to do so and that all information provided is accurate.
3.2 Payment Terms
- Full payment is required at the time of enrollment unless otherwise agreed
- Early bird pricing is available until the specified deadline
- All prices are in AED for Dubai classes and USD for online classes
- Payment can be made via credit card, bank transfer, or other accepted methods
3.3 Refund Policy
- Full refund if cancellation is made more than 14 days before the course start date
- 50% refund if cancellation is made 7-14 days before the course start date
- No refund for cancellations made less than 7 days before the course start date
- Credits may be offered for future courses at our discretion
- Refunds will be processed within 14 business days
4. Student Conduct
Students are expected to:
- Attend classes regularly and punctually
- Participate respectfully in all activities
- Complete assigned homework and practice activities
- Treat instructors and fellow students with respect
- Follow all safety guidelines during in-person sessions
- Maintain appropriate behavior during online sessions
We reserve the right to remove any student whose behavior is disruptive or inappropriate, without refund.
5. Online Classes
For online classes:
- Students must have a stable internet connection and working camera/microphone
- A parent/guardian should be available during sessions for younger students
- Recording of classes by students is not permitted without written consent
- Atlantic Ivy may record sessions for quality and training purposes
6. Intellectual Property
All course materials, curricula, and content provided by Atlantic Ivy are our intellectual property and are protected by copyright. Students and parents may not reproduce, distribute, or share these materials without our written permission.
7. Photo and Video Consent
By enrolling, you grant Atlantic Ivy permission to photograph and video record students during classes and events for promotional purposes, unless you opt out in writing. You may withdraw this consent at any time by contacting us.
8. Liability
Atlantic Ivy takes reasonable care to ensure student safety. However:
- We are not liable for any injuries, losses, or damages except where caused by our negligence
- Parents/guardians are responsible for transportation to and from in-person classes
- We are not responsible for personal belongings brought to classes
- Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the specific course
9. Health and Safety
Parents/guardians must inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or special needs that may affect the student's participation. Students who are unwell should not attend in-person classes.
10. Tournaments and External Events
Tournament participation may be subject to additional terms, fees, and third-party rules. Travel arrangements and supervision during tournaments are the responsibility of parents/guardians unless otherwise specified.
11. Communication
By enrolling, you consent to receive communications from Atlantic Ivy regarding your child's education, including class updates, progress reports, and promotional materials. You may opt out of promotional communications at any time.
12. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or website notice. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, UAE.
