Extended one-on-one editing mentorship for Polyphony Lit: a portfolio of poems, stories or creative nonfiction developed across both submission windows and the seasonal contests. 20 flexible hours.
About this course
The extended Polyphony Lit track gives a high school writer 20 hours of one-on-one mentorship to build a small portfolio rather than a single piece: several poems, a short story or a piece of creative nonfiction, each taken through diagnostic reading, structural editing, line editing and final revision. The extra hours allow work across both general-submission windows (October to November and March to April) and the seasonal contests Polyphony Lit runs in between, plus submissions to comparable student literary magazines. Sessions are scheduled flexibly with a Writing Scholars tutor and hours are used within six months. Submission to the magazine is free and is made by the student; acceptance is decided by Polyphony Lit's student editors and is never guaranteed.
