Junior HIR Academic Writing Contest Prep - Package 1

From late August through December, students in Years 7-9 build general academic writing skills through the lens of the Harvard International Review Academic Writing Contest - an international affairs writing contest for grades 7-12 run by the Harvard International Review. Students learn to research and write compelling 800-1,200 word articles in AP style, analyse the annual contest themes, and prepare for the finalist Defense Day oral round. The course targets the winter cycle deadline of January 2, 2027. 80% of our HIR students have earned Silver or Gold medals - a global top-10% result. Package 1 includes 20 hours of group instruction plus 2 hours of one-on-one tutoring.
