Curieux Academic Journal Mentorship - 10 Hour 1-on-1

One-on-one supervision of a research paper for the Curieux Academic Journal: structure, abstract, method, citations and a rolling-submission plan. 10 flexible hours.

About this course

Curieux Academic Journal is a youth-led non-profit journal that publishes research papers by high school and middle school students in any subject, on a rolling basis, with decisions in two to five weeks. This 10-hour one-on-one mentorship turns a student's research interest or existing project into a properly structured paper: research question, literature review, method, findings, discussion, abstract and references. Sessions are scheduled flexibly with a Writing Scholars tutor and hours are used within six months. Submission is free; the journal charges a $200 publication fee only if the paper is accepted, paid by the family to Curieux directly. Acceptance is decided by the journal and is never guaranteed.
