Bristol Juniors Debating Championships 2026

The Bristol Juniors Debating Championships is a two-day online tournament in the Junior World Schools format for students aged 7 to 14, run by EduDrift on Zoom and Slack. Five preliminary rounds on the Saturday, including a prepared round and a silent-prep round, then four elimination rounds on the Sunday. Participation and achievement certificates carry the Bristol emblem, and every student gets a commendation letter and written feedback from the international judging panel.

Rounds run on Singapore time from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM each day, which is 4:00 AM to 2:30 PM in Dubai, so it suits our Asia and Gulf students best. Motions are released per round, so most of the debating is impromptu; our four prep hours focus on building a clear case quickly and answering the other side.
